David and Mary

• Here is a long article David wrote back five years ago when I sailed on the tall ship Tenacious. The photos are nice to look at, at least.

• It's been only 3 months since Ricky tore his ACL. It seems like forever. But he's doing well now, even though we haven't let him loose yet in the back yard for fear he'll tear off after a squirrel and forget himself.

• David is very involved these days in something called the National Junior Disability Championships (www.njdc2010.org).

Random, Pointless Stuff Found on my Hard Drive:

• David's Harvard Student ID card from 1969

• Don Komar post card from the Maitre 'D Restaurant in Elk Grove IL, c. 1972. (Around that time, Dick came home with a large stack of maybe 50 of these cards he had picked up at the Maitre 'D restaurant, and as a joke we began sending them to one another from all over the country, with messages from "Don" updating the recipient on his latest travels and musical gigs playing the Wurlitzer organ in various Holiday Inns around the U.S., etc. This went on for many years. I have just one of those 50 cards left, safely stashed away in my memorabilia folder.)
